Julian Rachman, PE, LEED AP

Julian is one of the founding principals of Command Commissioning and serves as principal in charge of electrical systems commissioning.

Julian serves as principal in charge of electrical systems commissioning. He is responsible for electrical peer design reviews. In addition, he directs commissioning at the component and integrated systems level of complex electrical systems for mission critical facilities.

Julian earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in thirteen states. He maintains a National Registration with the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors, (NCEE).

Julian’s experience includes over 30 years of design and commissioning of electrical power systems.

In 1989, prior to founding Command Commissioning, Julian established and became Vice President of DFW Consulting Group, Inc. While there, he was responsible for electrical engineering design as well as the implementation and administration of mission critical projects. Additional responsibilities included the establishment of company policy, technical direction and coordination of contract documents associated with projects. Previously, Julian was the Chief Electrical Engineer at Steve Dunn & Partners, Inc., responsible for electrical design and specifications for all company projects. Earlier on he was a Principal at MEP Systems Design and Engineering and Lead Electrical Engineer at Herman Blum Consulting Engineers.

Julian is a Board of Governors member of the Lonestar Chapter of the 7X24 Exchange as well as a member of the National 7X24 Exchange, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), and the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).
