Description

The HARC building is an 18,000 SQFT, 2-story headquarters for the non-profit institute. HARC is focused on building a sustainable future, and as such, the building uses 70% less energy than a comparable building of the same size and aims on becoming the first commercial net zero facility in Texas.

Command Commissioning provided LEED Fundamental & Enhanced commissioning for the project to ensure the ambitious energy goals were met. Our process began by reviewing the OPR and BOD for USGBC compliance and our Commissioning Plan was developed based on the OPR and BOD. Our team performed functional testing of the HVAC system which included geothermal heat pumps, a geothermal well field, energy recover unit, and exhaust fans, as well as the BMCS, lighting controls, domestic hot water, electrical sub-metering, and photo voltaic systems.
